In October 2019, when I finally hit 1,000 followers on Instagram after one and a half years of growing my account, you could not tell me anything.

I thought that was the end all, be all of everything.

I just knew my business was going to take off.

But guess what?

It took me several more months before I finally figured it out and actually started making money because money doesn’t come from creating followers on Instagram.

That was a huge milestone and it is important to get our businesses in front of more people but at the same time, you can make money and sign clients and change people’s lives with a small audience. 

When I actually decided to stop worrying about my audience and audience size and to go all in on learning how to sell, learning how to market, learning how to shift beliefs…

I created my very first six-figure year and multi-six-figure year in revenue with less than 300 people on my email list.

Many in the industry and in the marketing world would say that is impossible.

250 people on my email list at the time did not correlate to a six-figure business.

But I did it from what we’re going to talk about in today’s episode, The Safety Formula.

Making money in your business is not about time. It’s not about being charismatic. It’s not about being an author or being famous, it’s not about fancy websites and it’s not about perfection…

So what is it about?

It is about creating internal safety for yourself.
